Gundam fans take note! GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA is a facility dedicated to the long-standing classic Mecha anime franchise. Located at Yamashita Pier, it is home to a moving, life-size 18m-tall RX-78F00 Gundam robot permanently stationed at the GUNDAM-DOCK. You can get a closer look at the GUNDAM from the two viewing decks at the GUNDAM－DOCK TOWER. With over 20 mobility parts, it takes on different poses every 30 minutes and illuminates in the evening.
The adjacent building is the GUNDAM-LAB, a two-storey complex where you can learn about the technology behind this mobile. Check out the “GUNDAM Pilot View 5G EXPERIENCE” where you can watch what it’s like piloting the Gundam live from inside the cockpit! You can grab goods and figurines exclusive to the venue, or have a break at the Gundam Café.
This facility will be open until March 31, 2022.
