Kayaking in Lake Suwa
The world of Hokusai's famous woodblock print
Visit Lake Suwa to paddle through the spectacular views that were featured in "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji," a woodblock print by the world-renowned ukiyo-e artist Katsushika Hokusai. At the Suwa Lake Geyser Center located on the shores of Lake Suwa, you can see a tall geyser shoots 5 meters into the air. You can also take pictures right by Hatsushima, which is a solitary island within the lake. Lake Suwa also offers two-hour kayak tours that are lectured by a skilled instructor.
