How to Get There
The best way to get to Bihoku from Hiroshima City is by car.
Bihoku is about a 1.5 hour drive from Hiroshima . The closest highway interchange is the Shobara IC on the Chugoku Expressway. You can also access some of the area's attractions, such as Taishaku Gorge, by public transport.
Blooms and sports at a national park
Flower fans and outdoor athletes will love National Bihoku Hills Park. The park is divided into several sections. One is called Flower Square, where seasonal flowers bloom, such as tulips in spring and cosmos in autumn.
If you're more active, you will enjoy the pedestrian parkway, where you can try Nordic walking and other activities. Tsudoi no Sato is for playing ground golf and enjoying cherry blossoms in the spring. There is also an eight-hectare open space called the Great Lawn Square, which is great for relaxing on a warm day or night.
A place to gorge yourself
Taishaku Gorge is home to the natural stone formation of Onbashi Bridge , a huge natural arch. There is a well-maintained promenade that starts at Taishakuten Eimyoji Temple . Eimyoji is dedicated to the deity from whom the gorge gets its name.
