Soar Above the Japanese Alps with an Experienced Instructor

Admire the Ina Valley from high in the sky with a professionally crafted paragliding tour

The Japanese mountain ranges are a glorious sight to behold on the ground, but don’t miss out on the opportunity to view them from up high. The Ina Valley in Nagano Prefecture is known as the “Valley of Wind” and is situated between Japan’s striking Central and Southern Alps.

The Ina Valley is also the home of Yoshiki Kuremoto, a professional paraglider who has designed a set of paragliding tours. Your English-speaking guide will teach you how to paraglide, so even beginners are warmly welcome.

Two types of paragliding experiences are included in the tour package offered by Asobina. You will glide on your own at a safe distance of just a few meters off the ground. You can also fly together with your instructor during the paragliding tandem flight, in which you will launch yourselves off the top of Mt. Hatobuki. Feel the wind rushing around you as you glide 300 meters with a view of the scenic mountains, forests, and a patchwork of farms below you.

After your thrilling experience soaring in the sky, your tour will finish with a special lunch. To remember your flight, you will also receive a commemorative photo and an original upcycled windsock gift.

Access: From Tokyo Station, take the JR Chuo Line to Shinjuku Station (about 15 minutes), walk to the Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal (about two minutes) then take a bus to the Ina Bus Terminal (about three hours 25 minutes) and take a taxi to Asobina (about 20 minutes).
