Chojabaru Health Center, Mount Kuju Trailhead

Your gateway to the Kuju area

Located at the Mount Kuju Trailhead, the Chojabaru Health Center serves as a rest stop and gathering place for hikers, climbers, and other visitors, with a thermal spa on the second floor. It is a pleasant place to relax and take in Chojabaru’s natural beauty.

Visitors can use the Chojobaru Health Center as a base for walks in the nearby Tadewara Marsh, designated a Wetland of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention.

Every season offers colorful scenery, with bright azaleas in June and snow-dusted slopes in winter. If you are in the area in March and April, you can view traditional noyaki, controlled grassland burning, while you enjoy your meal in the restaurant. On clear days, you can also see Mount Mimata and Mount Io from the warmth of your hot spring bath.
