Tsuchiyu Onsen Hot Spring has one of the few geothermal power stations within a national park. Your tour guide will take you into the power plant and explain how power is generated from the naturally hot water. Examine geological features showing the previous paths of the Ara River, see 600,000-year-old geological formations, and learn how renewable energy benefits this small town as well as Bandai-Asahi National Park. After the tour, enjoy a traditional lunch and a dip in thermal waters at an local hot spring inn.
