Two great campsites in the foothills of Mount Daisen
Stay at Shimoyama Campsite to enjoy a relaxed camping experience in a secluded forest. This spot makes a great basecamp for climbing Mount Daisen or for exploring the Daisen Forest Boardwalk trail. Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and year-round birdsong of the campsite's natural surroundings.
Goenzan Campsite is located near Daisenji Temple and Daisen White Resort ski area, and the sites at Goenzan provide impressive views of Mount Daisen’s north face. Head to the nearby Goenzan Noroshidai viewpoint for more spectacular mountain views and vistas of the Sea of Japan.
Both campsites are convenient for visiting the nearby Ogamiyama-jinja Okumiya Shrine and Amida-do Hall. The campsites have cooking buildings, toilets, showers and laundry facilities.
The Shimoyama and Goenzan campsites are currently temporarily closed for renovations and are scheduled to reopen in spring 2022 or later.
