Sample local produce steamed in hot springs and get information at the tourist information center

If you are looking to sample a wide variety of Kirishima’s fresh local food in one place, head to Kirishima Onsen Market. Try the eggs, buns and fresh local vegetables that are cooked using steam from local hot springs. Drop by the market before hiking one of the peaks in the area to stock up on boxed lunches, and then pass through on your return to soak your tired feet in the Yukemuri no Sato footbath.

The Kirishima Tourist Information Center is located on the second floor of the building. Pay a visit to get advice on things to do in the area after you’ve had your fill of local produce.

Entrance to the market is free and it is open year-round. There is a small fee to use the footbath.
