The diversity found within its forests, lakes and marshland makes Kannonnuma Forest Park a very special natural habitat. Famous for the many species of wild birds who call the area home, the area is alive with birdsong from dawn until dusk. Head to Kannonnuma Marsh and observe how the islands seem to float above their own reflections, and then follow the shoreline paths into the trees to explore the inner forest itself.
The park is open all year round and fall is undoubtedly the best time to visit when the reflection of the trees in the marsh is spectacular. Spring and summer see rare and colorful flowers bloom across the marsh.
The site has free parking with over one hundred spaces.
