The Nasu Onsen Family Ski Resort is located at a height of 1,300 meters, and features panoramic views over the wide plains of Japan’s main island. As the name implies, this is a family-oriented facility, with slopes reserved exclusively for the use of skiers. Families with younger children can head to the 70-meter sledding park and snow play area, which has its very own snow elevator. Novices can explore many of the other gentle slopes to build their confidence.
Intermediate skiers need not feel left out, as this resort has reliable snowfall and is famous for having lots of soft powder. Refuel without leaving the slopes by visiting the onsite Snowman Restaurant. The site is open from December 23rd to March 21st.
