Naganuma Pond is tucked away in the quiet marshlands and primeval forests of Towada-Hachimantai National Park. Take a leisurely 4-kilometer round-trip journey to this famed healing spot for an unforgettable immersive experience of nature at 1,100 meters above sea level.
Along the way, you'll breathe in the cleansing air of the Japanese beech, Erman's birch, and Maries' fir trees. From June through October, the forest foliage and alpine blooms make for picture-perfect walks. Feast your eyes on the flowers and plants in the forest, the Oyachi Marsh, and Naganuma Pond, and let nature restore you.
