Utarube Campground’s location—on the shore of Lake Towada, partly sheltered by the Mikura Peninsula, and surrounded by an extensive forest—makes it an ideal accommodation option for those wanting to venture out into this area’s rugged scenery. Relax under the dappled light of the forest’s maple and beech trees while watching clouds of mist rise up from the lake's waters.
Site facilities include everything needed for a comfortable stay, with showers, laundry facilities and dedicated cooking areas available to all. Even those without tents are welcome, as seven large cottages are available for rent. The best time to visit is undoubtedly during summer, but the fall season also provides impressive views during the turning of the leaves. The site is open from July 1 to October 31.
