The perfect base for outdoor adventures around Lake Towada

Utarube Campground is a forested campground on Lake Towada, partly sheltered by the Ogura Peninsula. Its location makes it an ideal accommodation option for outdoor enthusiasts who wish to fully immerse themselves in the area’s rugged nature. At the campground, relax under the dappled light of the forest’s Japanese beech and mizunara oak trees, while watching clouds of mist rise up from the lake's waters.

The campground's facilities include everything needed for a comfortable stay, with showers, washing machines and dedicated cooking areas. Seven large cottages are available for rent for a bit of luxury. Summer is an ideal time to stay at Utarube Campground, while autumn provides impressive views during the turning of the leaves.
