A charming fishing port along the Pacific Ocean side of Chiba Prefecture, Katsuura is known for its beautiful coastline and white sandy beaches. Traditional shrines and temples, a daily Morning Market, the Big Hina Doll Festival, and summer fireworks add to the allure of this seaside town. Only an hour and a half from Tokyo, Katsuura makes for a great day trip destination and an easy escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
A RIB boat tour with Seafari Japan is one of the best ways to explore the stunning sceneries of Katsuura. As the name suggests, the concept is “a safari on sea.” Expert skippers will guide participants to all the best points and share with them the secrets of this wonderful coast, for a fun and informative experience. From magnificent bays to hidden coves, rock formations and major landmarks, Seafari Japan will take you on a memorable sea adventure, allowing you to truly discover the local area.
Enjoy a unique day out on the ocean, feeling the sea breeze and taking in breathtaking views. All ages welcome! If you are lucky, you might even spot the majestic black kite “tombi” gliding through the air, turtles, and other elusive sea creatures. For the more energetic travelers, Seafari Japan offers a wide range of boat-based marine activities, such as fishing, snorkeling, water tubing, and foil surfing. Pet friendly trips and full charter services are also available on request.
