Opened in July 2022, Hessokko Water Sports Complex is a theme park located along the pristine waters of Lake Ikeda, an artificial lake created by the Ikeda Dam on the Yoshino River in Tokushima Prefecture. Here guests of all ages can enjoy over ten different types of outdoor activities, including SUP, canoeing, rafting, wakeboarding, and banana boating, surrounded by a lush landscape of mountains and forests.
Lake Ikeda Loghouse serves as the complex’s base and offers all the necessary amenities and facilities for a care-free water adventure, including wetsuit and life jacket rentals. For those who wish to take a breather from all the action, kick back and relax at the available rest spaces provided. Or why not wind down with a cool dip in the lake and relax in the steamy tent sauna? Pets are most welcome too!
Once you've built up your appetite, take a break and enjoy a relaxing barbecue alongside the crystal-clear waters of Lake Ikeda. The “hands off” barbecue plan provides everything you need for a successful barbecue. Guests can grill fresh vegetables and mouth-watering meat with the provided lava rock plates. Rubbish bags and wet wipes are also provided to ensure an easy clean up.

How to get there
From Okayama Station, take a JR train bound for Kochi to Awa Ikeda Station (about 1 hour and a half). Ride a bus for 4 stops and get off at "Itano" bus stop, then walk approximately 6 minutes to Hessokko Water Sports Complex.
