5 Tips and Hacks to Plan an Unforgettable Disney Experience

Buy tickets directly through the Tokyo Disney Resort website
To better manage the crowd after the pandemic, tickets are currently not sold at their physical ticketing booths. As of February 2023, only fixed-date tickets can be purchased. The easiest way to get a fixed-date ticket is through the official Tokyo Disney Resort reservation website or other booking websites, where you can purchase up to 2 months in advance. Open Tickets or those without a specified admission date, multi-day tickets, and annual passes are not available for purchase at the moment.

The 1-Day Passport is the best choice for those who want to optimise their experience, but there are also cheaper later-entry and night passes if you do not plan to spend the whole day at the theme park.

Bring pens and a notebook for autographs
Besides the eagerly anticipated photo opportunities, create more memories by having your favourite Disney characters sign your very own autograph book during meet-and-greet sessions! Collecting autographs as you go through the Disney parks is a lot of fun and will become a personalised treasured keepsake after the trip.

Have some snacks to keep hunger at bay
Snack away while you explore the parks. While bringing in food is reserved only for those who have special dietary needs, the park also sells a variety of snacks. Make sure you’re hydrated and have a bottle of water ready with you.

For more substantial meals, both parks have some really amazing restaurants that elevate the Disney experience.

Enjoy an exciting menu of international cuisine at Magellan’s, a magnificent themed restaurant at Tokyo DisneySea, or step into the fantasy world of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and have a feast at the Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall at Tokyo Disneyland!

Get Disney Premier Access
While visitors still need to queue up at attractions and greeting facilities, you can avail yourself of Disney Premier Access, which allows guests to book access to certain attractions ahead of time. Some of the attractions that can be accessed through this pass are Splash Mountain, The Happy Ride with Baymax, and Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast.
Downloading the Tokyo Disney Resort App on your smartphone in advance is also recommended, and Entry Requests can conveniently be made once you enter the Park!

More is better than less
To fully enjoy the Disney experience, bring as many items as you need to stay comfortable and store them in the many lockers located inside and outside the park. A mobile power bank, portable fan (for summer), ponchos, towels, and heating pads (for winter) are just some of the essentials. Remember to bring a picnic-style mat or plastic sheet to sit on while waiting for the parade to start too!
