Urabandai and Lake Hibara

Urabandai is a highland that has clusters of lakes and ponds, surrounded by magnificent mountains. It maintains a cool temperature in the summer. During the winter, it has deep snow that makes it an excellent destination for the fun winter outdoor activities. Lake Hibara and the Goshikinuma Ponds are part of the Urabandai nature reserve and were formed when large scale debris avalanches formed after the eruption of Mount Bandai in 1888. With the autumn foliage, it makes Urbandai and Lake Hibara a sight to behold, and a best place to relax and connect with nature.
