The Uminami Road is a 143-kilometer-long cycling course along National Route 9, which runs east-west on the coast of the Sea of Japan in Tottori Prefecture. This route is beginner-friendly; it runs mostly straight, and is very well-marked, making it easy to navigate. It offers unparalleled views of the rugged coast and its many beaches, and ample opportunity to visit some of the prefecture’s most popular sights, such as the Tottori Sand Dunes.
