Kuju Kogen Soumi Campsite

A grassland campsite in the center of the Kuju Plateau

Kuju Kogen Soumi Campsite is located on a sweeping grassland plateau at an altitude of 850 meters, in the southern foothills of the Kuju Mountains. The Soumi River flows past the site, and part of the campground sits under lush tree cover, so it is pleasantly cool even in the summer.

The campground features large and small bungalows, permanent tents, restrooms, cooking areas, and other convenient facilities.

Campers can pitch their own tents or car-camp in the open grassland area. There is also a stage in the campfire area, so the site can be used for events or gatherings.

While the campground is open from spring through fall, summer is considered the best season for camping.
