Dip underneath the waves at Kushimoto Marine Park
The Kuroshio Current warms this stretch of the ocean to temperatures that support temperate and subtropical marine life. Discover the species that thrive under the waves at Kushimoto Marine Park, Japan’s first marine park and an area protected by the Ramsar Convention.
The park features an undersea facility that looks out across the park's coral communities—here you can observe marine life in its natural environment. It also features a sea turtle sanctuary and an aquarium where you can learn more about the Kuroshio Current and the species that inhabit these warm waters.
Diving and snorkeling facilities, as well as overnight accomodations offer other ways to experience the Marine Park.
