Enjoy magnificent views at Cape Tenjinzaki, reminiscent of Bolivia's famous Uyuni Salt Flat
Cape Tenjinzaki, one of the first sites protected by the national trust movement in Japan, has become a favorite on social media. Under the right conditions, the view is similar to that of Bolivia's Uyuni Salt Flat.
When tidal conditions are right, a large pool of water forms on the flat shore of Cape Tenjinzaki. The pool reflects the sky and surrounding scenery, making it a stellar spot to take photos. The cape is stunning around sunset, when the setting sun and the changing colors of the sky are at their most spectacular. Check the Tanabe Tourist Association website for more information and to find out the best time to visit.
