Soothe Your Soul at a Hot Spring Resort in Shikoku
Let the natural hot springs melt your cares away
Sink into a natural hot spring deep in Shikoku's Iya Valley and let the crisp mountain air rejuvenate you. Better yet, do it at the Iya Onsen Hotel, and at a reasonable price.
For a truly unforgettable getaway, ride a cable car down the mountain to luxuriate in the hotel's outdoor baths, with their stunning river and valley views. The main hotel building also houses a large indoor bath with a panoramic view of Iya Valley for those who prefer a little more shelter. Come as you are and relax however you wish.
Step out of the bath and into a pristine room with elegant Japanese design flourishes. Whether you prefer the comfort of a bed or the soft, pillowy embrace of a traditional futon, Iya Onsen Hotel has a room that suits your needs. Reserve a room with its own attached hot spring to further enhance your stay, or treat yourself to a suite with a commanding view of the valley. Non-staying guests may also use the hot springs from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with reception open until 5 p.m.
Guests should be aware that due to the mountainous terrain, the hotel is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. Please also note that the hotel contains multiple flights of stairs.
Access: From Shin-Osaka Station, take the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen to Okayama Station (about 45 minutes), then transfer to the Nampu limited express train on the Dosan Line to Oboke Station (about one hour 45 minutes). The hotel is a 30-minute taxi ride from the station.
