A walk up to the Musashi Mitake Shrine of Mt.Mitake of Ome
Musashi Mitake Shrine is on the top of Mt. Mitake, which stands 929 meters tall. Since the old days, it has been a place used for mountain worship and pilgrimages for many people from all over the Kanto area. It has been said that the wolf that was a servant to Yamato Takeru, a legendary hero in ancient Japanese history, is enshrined here as Oinu-sama, which lead people to visit this shrine with their dogs.
