A new way to enjoy the port city of Yokosuka

Yokosuka City

As a central hub during Japan’s early modernization and the birthplace of the nation’s navy, Yokosuka has a wealth of historical, cultural and natural assets.

The Yokosuka Route Museum is a website that brings all these together by presenting the entire city as a "museum" of connected sights and experiences.

Introducing over 60 attractions, the Yokosuka Route Museum website makes it easy for visitors to plan and map explorations of the city’s architecture, historical monuments, industrial landmarks, military sites, parks and gardens. Pick attractions to create your own route or choose a recommended model course.

Visitors to the Yokosuka Modern Heritage Museum Thibaudier Residence will also find a large interactive digital display and attraction information cards to help further plan a custom tour of the city.

How to get there

Yokosuka Modern Heritage Museum Thibaudier Residence is 5 minutes walk from either Keikyu Shioiri Station or JR Yokosuka Station.
