For Tourists (Until 10th Oct.) Process Map and Checklist

You need to book a package tour.

1) Your travel agency shall obtain the certificate for registration to ERFS (Entrants, Returnees Follow-up System) from the receiving organization in Japan which your travel agency work with.

2) Apply for a visa at Embassies/Consulates with the ERFS certificate received above through your travel agency or by yourself.

*Please follow the latest guidance by Embassies/Consulates in your country/region.

All entrants must get either a valid vaccination certificate or a Covid-19 negative test certificate before departure. A Covid-19 test must be conducted within 72 hours prior to your scheduled departure time. Note that the 72-hour window is counted from the time your sample is taken, not from the time you receive your results. For more information, please refer to the following pages.

Show your MySOS’s Blue or Green Screen at a quarantine office. MySOS screen will turn blue or green when all required information is submitted and the authorities' review is complete.
*If you use MySOS Web and don't have a smartphone, you may present a printed copy of the dedicated screens from the website instead.

Show your QR codes on Visit Japan Web at Immigration and Customs at the airport.

●Group “Yellow”：Those who obtain a valid vaccination certificate are not required to take on-arrival test. For those who do not obtain a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate, on-arrival test is required.
●Group “Red”：On-arrival test is required.

●Group “Red”：3-day isolation at a government-designated facility is required. However, those who obtain a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate may have 5-day isolation at home/hotel (or 3-day isolation at home/hotel + a negative test result from a voluntary Covid-19 test on the 3rd day of the isolation) instead.
