The Sensoji Temple is Tokyo‘s oldest temple. It is in Asakusa, a popular tourist spot that preserves the traditional shitamachi (shopping and entertainment district) atmosphere of Tokyo. There is a shopping arcade called the Nakamise-dori along the approach to the temple, where a variety of souvenirs and traditional Japanese products are sold.
