Ehime | Cyclists’ Sanctuary Setouchi Shimanami Kaido

Cycling through the Cyclists’ Sanctuary Setouchi Shimanami Kaido

Setouchi Shimanami Kaido is a popular cycling route that links Imabari City, Ehime, and Onomichi City, Hiroshima. Paths designed for bicycles and pedestrians are made along nine bridges that connect each island. There are also cycling routes throughout the islands. Cyclists around the world visit this course, and it is known as “Cyclists’ Sanctuary.” In November 2019, it was designated as the National Cycle Route. Rental bike points on each island rent out bicycles so visitors can easily enjoy cycling.
