Bunny Shrine of Mima City

Partners Information: Bunny Shrine of Mima City, Tokushima Prefecture

Shirahito Shrine is located in Anabuki of Mima City. The shrine features a stone lantern (called “goshinto” in Japanese) with a bunny statue on top of it, considered rare in Japan. This area has been regarded as a sacred site since ancient times.

Nearby, you can also see Shinmei Shrine. Climb the mysterious stone stairs to see some mysterious historic ruins.

In addition, the Anabuki River, which is one of the clearest and cleanest rivers in Shikoku, flows around the shrines. It’s the perfect place for a swim! If you picture the beautiful contrast of autumn leaves and the river, you will definitely want to visit this autumn!
