Ride a gondola known as a 'donko-bune' along the criss-crossing canals of the city to fully enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms and historical buildings scattered throughout. The oarsmen with their long poles guide the boats through the canals, are also more than happy to share fascinating titbits about the city's feudal past and sing rhymes penned by Yanagawa's famous poet, Hakushu Kitahara.
