Kansai Airport Terminal 1 Resumes Operation

Kansai Airport has resumed partial operation of Terminal 1 and runway A from Friday 14 September.

From 12am Friday, 14 September

Terminal 1 (southern part)

*We aim to have the northern part back up and running on Friday, 21 September

Terminal 1 Shops

  • Of 130 stores, 60 stores have reopened (46%)
  • Some restaurants are operating with a limited menu offering

Terminal 2 Shops

  • All 24 shops are operating

Lifelines

Electricity, air-conditioning, water, internet and phone are operational.

Terminal 2

2 companies, 15 flights (100%)

As of 14 September, Terminal 1 (International and Domestic) have resumed 34% of flights.

From 20 September, 50% of flights will have resumed.

Access

Rail

Japan Rail (JR) and the Nankai Electric Railway have been suspended.

Complimentary replacement shuttle buses are operating between Kansai Airport and Rinkutown Station.

*We are working hard and aim to have rail services back up and running by 21 September.
