Virtually InsideJapan

Brisbane-based tour operator InsideJapan Tours are bringing Japan to you, live in the comfort of your own home. Their series of Virtual Tours are hosted by their Insider experts who live and work in Japan, and give you a taste of a different Japanese destination in each tour, as they walk you through the streets, show you the sights, and give you some fascinating insights that only a local can provide.

These Virtual Tours are ideal for anyone interested in Japan. Whether you want to reminisce about your previous trips there, start planning your next one, or simply do a bit of armchair travelling, these tours will give you all the inspiration you need.

Previous tours include Kyoto, Nara, Osaka and the Asakusa district in Tokyo.

The next Virtual Tour will be on Thu 18 November. Join Insiders Richard, Robert and Van for the 800-metre journey up spiritual Mount Koya – the home of the Shingon sect of Buddhism. You'll get a guided tour of the monks’ settlement and the atmospheric Okunoin mausoleum. Then, it’s over to a traditional shukubo to find out what really happens on a Buddhist temple stay.

Following that, in early December they will visit Kamakura.
