Partners Information: Okonomiyaki Cooking Studio OKOSTA Is Now Open!
OKOSTA, a brand-new facility for one of Hiroshima’s popular experience programs for tourists – okonomiyaki cooking – has just opened within JR Hiroshima Station. Okonomiyaki is a savoury pancake made of flour and egg and includes ingredients such as cabbage, and other delicious toppings.
Participants are carefully instructed by experts how to cook okonomiyaki and then of course, can enjoy eating the one they have cooked. English-speaking instructors are available for non-Japanese speakers.
Each class has no more than 40 participants and it’s possible to book in advance.
Prices start at 1,500 yen however we recommend that overseas visitors try the ‘HIROSHIMA OKONOMIYAKI Delicious Set’ which costs 4,000 yen and includes fees for the okonomiyaki cooking experience, oysters grilled on an iron plate (teppanyaki), dessert and a drink. (It takes 1.5 hours.)
Halal-friendly and vegetarian options are also available.
