Partners Information: Tokyo Disney Resort will hold the program Disney Tanabata Days from June 6 to July 7, 2019. This program gives the touch of Disney to Tanabata, the traditional Japanese event known as the Star Festival.
Guests can also enjoy the Tanabata atmosphere during this period at the Disney hotels (the Disney Ambassador Hotel, Tokyo DisneySea MiraCosta and the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel) with special menus and on the Disney Resort Line.
Disney characters will greet guests in Tanabata Greeting at both parks, dressed in special costumes themed to Tanabata. At Tokyo Disneyland, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will ride on rickshaws to green Guests along the parade route. At Tokyo DisneySea, Mickey Mouse and his friends will appear on a boat in Mediterranean Harbor or this greeting show.
At Tokyo Disneyland, a Wishing Place will be set up in the center of World Bazaar. There, guests can write their hopes and wishes on special cards and tie them onto the Tanabata decorations. Another Wishing Place will be set up in the New York area of American Waterfront at Tokyo DisneySea.
After dark at Tokyo Disneyland, the Wishing Place at World Bazaar will be transformed into Starlight Wishing Place, where guests can enjoy lighting effects and music themed to Tanabata.
