Autumn Blooms in Fukuoka

Partners Information: Uminonakamichi Seaside Park in Fukuoka City is a peaceful spot surrounded by Hakata Bay and the Genkai-nada Sea.

Stretching 6km from east to west and covering 300 hectares of land, the park features a 12km cycling course (a range of rental bikes are available for hire), expansive flower gardens featuring seasonal blooms all year round and a wide range of outdoor activities that are sure to entertain children and adults alike.

During autumn, the 20,000 balls of fluffy Kochia bushes on Flower Hill and Colorful Flower Garden turn a gorgeous deep red (mid to late October), while the cheerful cosmos flowers can generally be enjoyed throughout the entire month of October in the Colorful Flower Garden and Rainbow Flower Garden areas. Whilst cosmos blooms typically range from white to various shades of pink, the park also features the rare yellow-coloured variety.
