Fruit-shaped bus stops in Konagai, Nagasaki Prefecture

Partners Information: In the small town of Konagai, Nagasaki Prefecture you will find 16 fruit-shaped bus stops running along National Route 207.

The charming bus stops are in the shape of fruit that represent Nagasaki’s main agricultural products, and include fruit such as a strawberry, mandarin and melon.

They are said to be inspired by the pumpkin-shaped carriage in Cinderella, and were installed in 1990 by the town as part of the Journey Exposition Nagasaki. These days they serve as functional bus shelters as well as adorable photo spots.
