Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel reopens its refurbished Kegon Ballroom

Partners Information: Welcome to the newly refurbished Kegon Ballroom, equipped with a large LED screen.

Introducing Meeting Plan Solutions for the "New Normal".

Kegon Ballroom

Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel reopened its banquet hall ‘Kegon’ on Friday 4 September 2020, which is a multi-purpose event space hosting corporate and social events  up to 400 guests. The natural space based on contemporary décor is inspired by the natural elements of Tokyo Bay, equipped with a large LED screen and the latest Audio Visual technology to elevate your next event.

Kegon Foyer and Garden

By combining a luxurious white space with a dedicated foyer and traditional Japanese Garden courtyard, Kegon has become a space that can accommodate all types of events. The open courtyard leading to Kegon Foyer allows guests to refresh themselves during meetings and chat in a relaxed atmosphere.

■ Large LED screen Experience
The newly refurbished Kegon Ballroom boasts a permanent 220-inch LED screen that can produce high-definition video, and attracts guests with beautiful images visible with high or low level lighting. In addition to Conference Presentations that emphasize visuals, it can be used for virtual conferences and events that broadcast video between venues that are becoming high demand as we welcome the ‘new normal’.

■ Create an atmosphere where guests can chat with each other easily with a dedicated foyer
The exclusive foyer is designed with nature motifs in various places, such as blue-grey-tone carpets inspired by the ripples of the water surface and wood doors, making it a space where guests can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere for arrival reception and refreshments. Movable ottoman-style chairs and velour sofa are positioned throughout the foyer, including a non-contact wireless USB-type charging port for an additional service for guests utilise.

■ The Garden can be used as a stage and product exhibition space.
The Garden is directly accessible from the foyer, providing a serene open space where guests can enjoy refreshments during meetings and cocktail receptions prior to entering Kegon Ballroom. The stone garden traditionally named ‘Kare san sui’ features murals representing the book of Seishin and offers versatile use, ideal for feature exhibitions or product launches.

■ Offering Meeting Solutions that nourish the "New Normal"
As part of refurbishment, our team have designed a new Hybrid Meeting Audio & Visual Package with the aim of offering an elevated choice to clients for MICE events that demand a virtual component for guest speakers or attendees alike. Packages start from 170,000 yen (tax included, per room), including a complete set of live streaming equipment necessary for holding meetings that combine real and virtual aspects (fixed and mobile/movable cameras, web mixer, projector & screen) and the operation costs including videographer. Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel has 23 meeting & event spaces, including the 1603sqm banquet hall, The CLUB Fuji, and the renewed Kegon. By using this package at multiple venues, it offers large-scale events a sense of unity while taking appropriate social distance measures to ensure health & safety of guests is priority.

■ Be the first to implement virtual layout tools
We will be the first in Japan to introduce Social Tables, an application for creating floor plan layouts in 3D enabling clients to visualize the event space offering an elevated service experience. With this app, customers can see the venue in a virtual 3D format without having to conduct a physical site inspection. In addition, you can freely modify the venue layout via a web-based link with ease, changing the layout, seating & design to your customized requirements. It is scheduled to launch on 01 November 2020.

■ Live broadcast service for weddings & social events.
The Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel welcomes many wedding guests because it offers an extraordinary resort wedding experience in just 15 minutes from Tokyo Station. Kegon offers a variety of styles pending the bespoke requirements. In order to ensure health & safety is priority for guests, our staff are trained accordingly implementing the highest standards of cleanliness as part of Marriott International Commitment to Cleanliness. Additionally, we have launched a live streaming service that allows guests to attend weddings virtually. Both Wedding Chapel options boast open space with natural light ideal for intimate wedding ceremonies. In the event of a customer request, our expert staff will visit clients at their homes for convenience in advance to assist with wedding plans. Live broadcast service will be available from October 2020.
