Japanese Film Festival 2020: free online streaming 4-13 Dec

The annual Japanese Film Festival (JFF) is back with a twist – it’s largely online and it’s all free.

From 4-13 December over 25 films are available to stream for free as part of JFF Plus: Online Festival. Take a cinematic journey and experience the beauty, culture and traditions of Japan.

Here are some ideas to see the other side of Japan:

Tora-san in Goto

Travel to the Goto Archipelago in Nagasaki Prefecture and follow the journey of a local family who make udon for a living over the span of 22 years.

Peace

Set in Okayama City in Okayama Prefecture, this film offers a glimpse into simple everyday life in Japan.

Ecotherapy Getaway Holiday

Discover the beauty of Myoko City in Niigata Prefecture on a tour to see the autumn colours that doesn’t quite go to plan. It may even inspire you to visit the Phantom Otaki (waterfall) that features in the film.
