Partners Information: Kochi Prefecture has launched the The Yosakoi Challenge: Yosakoi Your Way to Happiness competition, inviting people living outside of Japan to help bring smiles to people around the world by making a one-minute Yosakoi dance video from home. Post the video on social media to enter the lottery draw for a chance to win one of 60 prize packs of Kochi Yosakoi goods.
There are two categories: the official dance, and an original dance. For those looking to learn the traditional dance, there are video tutorials for both beginners and more advanced dancers, as well as instructions on how to make naruko, the wooden clappers that are symbolic of the Yosakoi.
