Sapporo Snow Festival, the winter spectacle that draws millions to the northern island of Hokkaido each year, is being held online from 4-28 February this year.
The online edition of the festival features archived videos of past Snow Festivals, with new ones being uploaded every day. These are not usually available to the public so it is a rare opportunity to gain a glimpse into the history of this iconic festival.
Other special content includes photos of sculptures from as far back as 1953, projection mapping videos from 2016-2020 as well as interactive 360° photos of the main Odori site from 2018-2020.
