Harataki Japanese-style accommodation in Higashiyama Onsen

Some rooms have their own private baths and other rooms even feature a western-style bed with a tatami room, for the comfort of overseas travellers.

The cuisine is made with a variety of fresh, seasonal, local ingredients and seafood and prepared by skilled chefs. 

If you visit between May and September, you’ll have the opportunity to experience special waterside dining spaces known as ‘kawadoko’, which allow you to enjoy meals by moonlight while feeling the fresh breeze and enjoying the sounds of the flowing stream.

Aizu-Wakamatsu is known for its historical sites, including Tsuruga Castle, Sazaedo (a three-storeyed hexagonal temple), bukeyashiki (samurai residences), Nisshinkan (a samurai museum) and Oyakuen (a traditional Japanese garden).

Travel to and around the Aizu area using a Yuttari Aizu Tobu Free Pass .
